Hey friends, itâs Me again! đ˝Welcome to Hack a craft â a weekly email around tips that will help you hack your craft and navigating frameworks for life.
Enjoy reading!!!!!
There are trends about how companies are now building communities around their product/services to win hearts, minds, and keep up engagement with their community members. This as well can be likened to your craft, in the world of software development, there are a lot of developersâ communities that are been created to help one another when being hit with a block or run out of ideas about a specific task.
As Andreessen Horowitz said âSoftware is eating the world - Software is also eating much of the value chain of industries that are widely viewed as primarily existing in the physical world.â Needless to say that this software is been built with programming languages like JavaScript, PHP, Python, and others.
The concept of having developer communities and relevant communities is âa process where community members come together to take collective action and generate solutions to common problems.â This has been the case in the software world where communities are now eaten up the world of software development as software eats up the world of business and social life.
Why joining a community could accelerate your craft? If you want to grow your craft as an individual, I can't exaggerate the benefits of joining a community or creating one for your craft. There are many advantages, from a peer-to-peer discussion about a problem to sharing knowledge and resources, mentorship, sharing support, sharing tools, code reviews, answering questions, and much more.
Hack-a-craft is a community of internet entrepreneurs committed to providing resources, shared knowledge, mentorship, and support to all members of the community. Communities create a supportive environment for you to learn and growth at what you do, this art could be done by organizing weekly meetups where members come together to network, and share idea about how they have been able to solve a specific problem, introducing new technologies to community members and teaching them how to work with such tool.
To grow your craft, you need a community around what you do, continues practice and asking relevant questions that could help you unblock yourself.
Below is a list of curated articles about the benefit of joining community and how it is a new norm in learning a craft.
